We'll begin November with a quick anniversary concert before I go get lunch and the rent here.
This is gonna be short because my left hip hurts so badly I can no longer sit down at my desk.
What we have here is kind of a rejoinder to last week's birthday post, where I chose between the Ornette show I upped and a Cannonball Adderley performance from the same day a year later.
This one dates from exactly 8 days later in 1972, and surpasses all other Cannonball shows from this burning Europe/Fall 1972 tour by a fair amount in terms of sound quality.
This hour of funkified filth was taped for Radio Berlin and is sourced, from what the spectral analysis indicates, from a pre-FM master reel. As with all German radio endeavors, it's recorded as well as it can be, with those very expensive mics they have over there.

I shall return in a few days with more, but for now go get this smokin' Cannon set, it's top notch Berlin 'Ball.--J.
